Brand new album ‘Old Souls’ out September 16th plus 8 date October UK Tour

Deaf Havana take on 2013 with a new album, a new US label, a UK tour and a major gig; supporting Bruce Springsteen at Hard Rock Calling on June 30th.

Released September 16th on BMG Chrysalis in the UK and 17th on Razor & Tie in the US, ‘Old Souls’ sees the band tug at the heartstrings of classic rock with gut-busting heft, slicing up their sound into 12 pieces of emotionally-driven songwriting.

Featuring first single ‘Boston Square’ - premiering as Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record’ on Radio 1 (14th May) and which is released 1st July - the album bristles with confidence and energy and is available to pre-order now here.

From acoustic power surge ‘Saved’ - one of the highlights of the band’s sold out London Union Chapel shows - through the caustic wit of ‘Everybody’s Dancing and I Want To Die’ – and the frankness of ‘Caro Padre’ – where chief songwriter James Veck-Gilodi opens up for the first time about his estranged father – his autobiographical lyrics leave no stone unturned.

This new LP and live breakthrough see the band add more to their first-rate arsenal which already boasts a No.1 UK Rock album, 35,000 in major debut LP sales and an iTunes single of the week. 2013 is theirs for the taking.

Deaf Havana are frontman James Veck-Gilodi, guitarist Chris Pennells, bassist Lee Wilson, drummer Tom Ogden, pianist Max Britton and guitarist and vocalist Matthew Veck-Gilodi.

Springsteen Calling

hard-rock-calling

2013 is shaping up to be a very big year for Deaf Havana. It has been confirmed that the band will be supporting Bruce Springsteen at Hard Rock Calling on 30th June and they are absolutely over the moon!

“It’s going to be a surreal day taking to the stage with man who inspired so much of what our band is about. When we got the offer in for the show it was hard to believe at first, but for us it’s also a nice indicator that our music is spreading far above and beyond where we thought it would.

It’s a perfect chance for us to showcase our new songs to a new audience in an incredible environment. Hopefully we will see some of you there.”
